Gospel Perspective in Politics

Below is a link to a blog from a Pastor of whom I have great respect.
Mark Driscoll posted this blog yesterday but I believe its content is JUST as pertinent today (one day after our national election) as it was yesterday.

I would love your thoughts.

"...too much of the election and too little of Jesus."

What a GREAT post! Thanks for this, Jake. It's so true.

I can think of a few people that need to read this - how do I politely tell them, "Hey, read this 'cause you need to hear it!"? Thanks for posting this and for giving me a different perspective on all the election stuff.

I think Driscoll is right on, people are looking for a savior but one who meets their needs. It's like the Israelites calling out for a king, they got what they asked for just like we will. Though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks to Him but became futile in their thinking and their foolish hearts were darkened. We've exchanged the truth about God for a lie.
